IBD Doctors
The most important thing when you have IBD is to have a doctor that you are comfortable with- one who listens to your concerns, doesn’t pressure you into a treatment that you have reservations about, and one that is there when you need them most. When you are going through your diagnosis, don’t be afraid to seek out a second opinion if you are unsure about the first one.
There are tons of doctors out there who specialize in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases. I have compiled a list of top rated gastroenterologists who specialize in inflammatory bowel diseases based on U.S. News & World Reports Top Doctors of 2012 by state for anyone looking for a new doctor. There are many more great gastroenterologists than listed- I tried to keep it limited to IBD.
